Here you will find updates and pictures from our journey throughout the year.
Routines
We have PE on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please ensure that your child comes into school on these days in the correct PE kit as detailed in the school uniform list.
Homework
- Homework is set each week on a Friday to be completed by the following Thursday by all children.
- The homework is quite specific; Schofield and Sims maths, grammar, reading comprehension, TT Rockstars, Ready Theory, SPaG.com and occasionally Education City.
- After the Year 6 assessments (SATs), the homework will become more relaxed and based on work in class.
- Many of the children read for pleasure every day without prompting, we would like this to be encouraged by all families.
Planners
Planners are checked weekly, however, please feel free to use this as a means of communicating with the staff of Oak class at any time to share any worries/concerns or equally any achievements.
What are we learning?
Our topics this year are as follows:
- Autumn 1: The world at war.
- Christmas Topic: Winter Wonderland.
- Spring: Is there life outside Coughton?
- Summer: Shang Dynasty.
